Queen Contest
The naming of the new Ionia Free Fair Queen is an event that many look forward to each year! Young ladies come from all over the county to try their chance at winning the crown. Ionia Idol is an annual vocal music competition held during the Ionia Free Fair in Ionia, Michigan. Contestants battle it out in front of 3 judges for the chance to win $1,500! Contestants are judged on 4 categories: talent, stage presence, vocal range, and overall impression. The top 3 are awarded cash prizes of $1,500, $750, and $250. There will be free parking available until Noon at the North Gate only, a special luncheon served by the Ionia County Commission on Aging.
