Established in September 2009, the Ionia Free Fair Foundation Fund is a permanent endowment dedicated to ensuring the fair thrives for generations to come. Managed by the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, this fund provides a perpetual stream of income—used exclusively for capital improvements, preservation, and maintenance of the fairgrounds.
🏗️ Your Donations at Work Thanks to generous contributions, past improvements include:
Electrical upgrades on the south side of the track, campgrounds, and infield
Renovations to the big barn
Replacement of the large entrance sign at the fairgrounds
💰 Current Fund Status We’ve raised over $147,000, with a goal of reaching $1 million—unlocking even greater annual support for fairground enhancements.
